Retirement Documentary Wins Award in
2008 National Mature Media Awards Program

Ithaca, NY: 101 Ways To Retire—or Not! by Sue Perlgut and Christopher Julian, a documentary about Retirement in the 21st Century, is a winner in the 17th Annual National Mature Media Awards program. 101 Ways to Retire—or Not! received a Sliver Award for Video.

The awards program, presented by the Mature Media Market Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for the senior market, is the largest program of its kind. The awards were created to annually recognize the best materials produced for those who are 50 and older, the nation’s fastest-growing population group. Nearly 1,000 entries were judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the United States for overall excellence of design, content, creativity and relevance to the senior market.

“We are delighted to take part in the Mature Media Awards Program this year, and were honored to be selected as a winner,” says producer/director Sue Perlgut.

Ithaca based independent filmmaker Sue Perlgut and West Coast filmmaker Christopher Julian have captured the phenomenon of “active retirement” in their lighthearted documentary 101 Ways to Retire–or Not! Filmed in Ithaca, New York and the surrounding Finger Lakes, it represents a snapshot of retirement with people who are successfully managing a life of active retirement and inspiring many around them. Their stories are both unique and universal. For more information, and to view the trailer, visit www.101WaystoRetireorNot.com or contact us.
